Smartpig loans

Smart-Pig are specialist online lenders offering short term loans to UK Students only. Students that are in receipt of a Student Loan, Grant or Bursary from Student Finance England/Wales, SAAS or the NHS can apply for a loan of up to £350, repayable upon receipt of your next student loan date (maximum loan term is 180 days). New customers can apply for up to £250.

When can I get my loan?

Smart-Pig loans are funded the same day that they are applied for and funds are typically sent within 1 hour of approval. Loans are sent via Faster Payments free of charge, 7 days a week.

How do I repay my loan?

Your loan must repaid in full upon receipt of your next student loan payment, up to a maximum of 180 days. You can repay sooner and save money. Loan repayments are taken from your debit card on the agreed repayment date.

What happens if I can't pay my loan on time?

If you think that you may not be able to meet an agreed repayment, you should contact the Smart-Pig team on 0203 5071 930 as soon as possible, or email [email protected] Smart-Pig will not charge you a fee for missing a payment or making a late payment and they operate an interest cap of 50% of the total amount borrowed, as opposed to the industry standard cap of 100%.
